This plugin http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/armorweight/ make player's speed change with armour... but nocheatplus try to enforce the global player default speed.
I think CompatNoCheatPlus or maybe nocheatplus can "simply" check the current splayer speed of all player... o: and set it as the "playerspeed" to enforce.

Yup, you only need to drop the plugin and test with a armor :p (don't be OP also)

Issue with SurvivalFly and slimeblocks on build 802

Got a issue with survival fly and slime blocks for players in survival gamemode, recorded a video here: http://youtu.be/MfHQZ_nDEBk

a sticky piston facing up with a slimeblock on top of it, activate it while player is standing on the slime block - will throw false positives as seen in the video

It seemed to always happen with this player, have not done tested with other players. It does not happen if the player is in creative gamemode. The player said he is using the client from minecraft.net and in the profile using the "use latest version" which should be 1.8.3

No support for vanilla item attributes

This is fairly simple and straightforward yet fatal to many servers with serious RPG elements: NCP does not support vanilla item attributes. This isn't a plugin, its a vanilla feature of minecraft.

Attempting to equip a vanilla +90% sword will not allow your character to move at all.

Cauldron support

NCP seems to be really glitchy for cauldron servers such that the players can barely move. They get tped back to their original spot when moving and if you try to move too much it will kick you for flying. People call this the "rubber band" bug? idk. Basically, when you try to move, you get pulled back to where you've started.

I'm using cauldron 1.7.2 the recommended version. A lot of other cauldron users are also experiencing this bug so I think it's something with the plugin not being able to support.

Implement switch which shows all hidden flags

Silent Mode

I'm sure that alot of PvP servers would use NoCheatPlus alot more if there was some kind of 'silent mode' which doesn't teleport players back and/or stop players from attacking each other. Of course, this would toggleable via command or in the config (disabled by default).

Anyway, not much more for me to say.

MoreInventory (New cheat)

There is a new cheat called MoreInventory. It allows you to put things in the 4 item slots that would normally be used for crafting in your inventory and you can walk around and still access them. The items should drop when the inventory closes, but the cheat keeps the items there.

The cheat is accomplished by cancelling the C0DPacketCloseWindow from being sent to the server. The server thinks you still have the inventory open so the items don't drop. NoCheatPlus should make it so the player cannot move from input by the player while the inventory is open (make sure that players can knockback the player and s/he can fall, etc.)

Find players with the most violations

I'm looking for a way to watch players with high violation counts. I think a command that lists 10 players (per page) descending from most violations to least violations would be very beneficial to servers. This would allow for staff to manually teleport to those players who are most likely cheating.

More control for sub-commands.

Not sure we will remove command protection alltogether, still:

There seemed to be npes with trying to protect sub-commands such as "worldguard reload". As long as we have command-sepcific features we might want to add control over sub-commands. Open to discussion might still be if that's possible in general, because plugins can parse commands in a lot of different wys.

Lower movement speed with setWalkSpeed() or addPotionEffect() not being considered

What is the problem?

  1. A plugin was used to set the player's movement speed to 0.17. By default, players have a movement speed of 0.2, so this was a 15% decrease in movement speed.
  2. The player starts sprinting.
  3. The player holds the jump button whilst still sprinting.
  4. The player gets teleported backwards ("rubberbanding") every 2nd or 3rd jump.

Replacing step 1 with the following method results in the same problem:

  1. A plugin was used to give the player a Speed potion effect with a negative amplifier (i.e. -2, -3, -4...). This will reduce their movement speed in increments of 20%, depending on the amplifier.

What do you expect to see instead?

The player should not be teleported.

Setting the player's movement speed to 0.19 seems to not trigger the problem. I presume there's a threshold of some kind.

Only the plugin responsible for using setWalkSpeed() or addPotionEffect() to set the player's new movement speed.

Questions

Just out of curiosity, if the movement speed was increased, it would make sense for NoCheatPlus to detect a violation. But why would a decrease in movement speed cause this problem? There is absolutely no benefit in moving slower.

Also, what could I do whilst this problem is still at large? Is there a way to override the "rubberbanding" that occurs with NoCheatPlus' API? Is there something I can change in the configuration? I simply want to lower the movement speed of players without triggering NCP checks.


Invincibility Bug

I use BungeeCord, it happens only when player enter nether dimension, block height isn't important - players get kicked for flying when spawning on all heights.

Plugins that launch the player no longer works

When a plugin launches the player (example: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/spongejump/) the player will be dected as flying and NCP will cancel the event.

Use a "launch-plugin". Example Sponge Jump. (There are alot of other launch plugins which doesnt work either)

Only happens if the player is being launched horizontal. Just launching the player straight up is fine.

[FP] Breaking ladders with Axe

What is the problem? What do you expect to see instead?

Minecraft 1.8 and 1.8.1 decreased the time it takes to break ladders when using a axe but NoCheatPlus still uses the old breaking times for them which results in fastbreak false positives. I uploaded a log from my client while having blockbreak debug enabled. Its fun how golden axe breaks ladders instantly now but NoCheatPlus still expects it to be 600r.

CreativeFly seems to not support flyspeed for vertical flying only horizontal.

Just set your walk speed to 4 or higher and try to fly upwards.
