Players will fall through blocks (Mainly stairs/half slabs) when sprinting and jumping. Players get this error (attached as Fig 1)

**What is the problem? What do you expect to see instead?**
I run a Rust in Minecraft server, for weeks I've been having the problem of players getting randomly raided with no evidence of another user breaking in. Well I actually caught one in action, confronted him with a ban. He then told me he was using a hack, known as Phase. Never heard of it before this, so I did some research. Phase is a hack sort of works as a sort of VClip, that clips you 1/10th of the way into a block and allows you to go through the blocks that are "transparent".

**Can it be reproduced at will and if so: How?**
Sure can! I actually found a up to date hack client known as Wurst (http://www.wizardhax.com/wurst/). You can find a download there. I decompiled the hack client and actually found it must be a bug in NCP. Heres the source of Phase from the Wurst Hack Client. It continuously puts them in the ground and makes it so they can pass through blocks. NCP disables NoClip and doesnt detect.

Its pretty easy to do. All you have to do with the Wurst hack client is press J(Keybind for Phase) slowly keep tapping W(foward walk key). Then you'll slowly make your way into the door. Once in the door, press J again and walk straight through the door, that easy.

NCP seems to be really glitchy for cauldron servers such that the players can barely move. They get tped back to their original spot when moving and if you try to move too much it will kick you for flying. People call this the "rubber band" bug? idk. Basically, when you try to move, you get pulled back to where you've started.

I'm using cauldron 1.7.2 the recommended version. A lot of other cauldron users are also experiencing this bug so I think it's something with the plugin not being able to support.

Here's two emerging issues on Spigot 1.8. I'll be bypassing the SlimeBlock bounce issue, as I know you are already aware of it, and has aparently been corrected in newer devs.

- Players cannot be knocked back. Even setting the "knockback" check to "active: false", players still can't be knocked back, except whith low knockback causes like for example punching. They get inmediately teleported back, which makes them stuck. It's really annoying in pvp.

- Depth Strider enchantment is useless. NCP aparently interprets it as "Survival Fly" This is the log result when trying to swim whith this enchantment

Carpets cause glitching when jumping

When jumping from a carpet to another platform, sometimes, you will glitch back to your original position on the carpet. I noticed this because players on a parkour server were issuing this purely due to the carpets. After removing all problems stopped, yet after replacement, the problems came back.

**Can it be reproduced at will and if so: How?**

Simply place a carpet and the edge of a platform, and get players to jump from that edge to another platform. They will glitch back. Tested this many times, and it always worked. Yet, glitches do not happen every time, they occur frequently though.

**How easy is it to reproduce? Does it always happen? Does it happen to all players? Does it happen with vanilla clients?**

It is very easy to reproduce. It happens frequently, although sometimes the players will not glitch back. I would say that 50% of times they will glitch back.

Can't Change Prefix

Currently (~ 3.12.0) passable will add "1" for each violation and start printing out violations above some VL (...). This is misleading and mostly useless, amongst issues are:

  • Many/most players generate violation level right after login or teleporting to terrain that they don't have in view/cache. A "slow" client, be it the connection or the hardware, will produce many more violations.
  • The violations after login/teleporting are caused by the vanilla workaround for not getting kicked by the vanilla flying check. These don't originate from cheating, but passable has to prevent the moves, because we can't distinguish those from cheating.

Other issues are:

  • An actual cheater would depending on the kind of cheat cause just about one violation per try and then cease to try.
  • A player stuck in a false-positive-loop could cause almost arbitrary violation levels. Most cases should be ironed out, but there could be cases with fences, or with strange shapes reported by the server on some update. This may be somewhat difficult to detect or fix, though.

Since the "slow falling" provides a detectable envelope, we should at least try to detect what we can't distinguish from slow falling after login or (far?) teleporting, and then skip actions except cancel and/or adding violation level at all. Both trigger and alteration to default behavior are discussable.

Initial Triggers:

  • Login is hard to miss.
  • Which kind of teleportation should trigger stuff, could be subject to discussion, however:
    • World changes need to trigger.
    • Teleporting outside or near the view-distance should trigger.
    • Does the clients view-distance setting have an effect? Probably subject to experiments...

Envelope for "slow falling":

  • Probably is a constant y-speed value.
  • Possibly the moves are also bigger than gravity would allow (!).
  • The falling moves likely have a fixed or at least a static viewing angle set.
  • The falling moves should be the first moves sent.

Alterations to perform (alternatives/random):

  • Skip all actions, except if present the "cancel" action.
  • Increase or not increase the violation level.
  • Skip just the log actions (problematic: custom commands and other).
  • Use extra actions (e.g. log with different message / tags).
  • Set violation level 0 for "slow falling" by default.
  • Somehow find a different (meaningful) measure for the type of violation (might not be necessary, if we don't add VL for slow falling).

On the long term other/generic violation level handling may be implemented globally, such that we can distinguish the "number of violations" vs. "some level value"within the same check, or have sub-check or tag-based alterations to violation handling, possibly including the ability to have and multiple inputs and conditions for triggering checks/meta-checks . Currently we don't have much better ways than changing the check in question itself, for the lack of a more generic framework. A very good candidate for complete VL-overhaul would be the survivalfly check...

I just was wondering if there is a way so the players can use fly mods to a certain speed. Maybe twice as fast. But I don't want this to affect the /fly command. The /fly command would stay at the normal speed and if you were using some fly mod, you would be allowed to go to double the speed without being set back. Is this a in the config?

So I've been setting up a Spigot server and I have been trying to make it so that Admins are exempt from all NoCheat+ Checks, There seems to be a lack of documentation regarding how the NCP perms work, if I want a player to not be checked do I give them the nocheatplus.checks.* node, or remove it? I have tried both and neither do anything. The only thing that works is the /ncp exempt ALL command. or OP the player.

De-op Player. Go into Creative Mode, Sprint and take flight

Easy as above, and It happens to anyone who's not OP or have been manually made exempt via the /exempt command.

Hi, none of my players can use depth strider on their boots underwater. I've seen that a few people are having issues with it but i have no idea how to stop it from kicking them for survivalfly?

Invincible players in PvP

Some players randomly becomes invincible, /ncp removeplayer solves it
Manually removing their violations one by one doesnt seem to fix it, but using  /ncp removeplayer to remove them all does so they can take hits again. They can still take damage from fire etc.

Everything but angle seems very smooth. I've been using auto-generated config from 813 and I didn't tweak anything related to angle detection.

Mostly happens with slight lag or while attacking stacked entities.

If I increase my flyspeed with /speed 10 creativefly wont allow me to use that speed vertically but its fine if I fly that fast horizontally.

I created a command block with the following command
minecraft:tp @p[r=3] ~ ~5 ~
To tp a nearby player to 5 blocks above.
But when I execute this command block.
I got this log and be teleported to under ground by NCP
